How to find case law or legislation

 

In this section, you will find a selection of websites through which you can access, for free, to the decisions of all the tribunals and courts of Canada, including the Human Rights Tribunal. You can also find, on these websites, federal and provincial laws and regulations.

The Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLII)

Société québécoise d'information juridique (SOQUIJ)

  • Offers free access to decisions rendered by Canadian tribunals in the section “Services aux citoyens”.
  • Includes decisions rendered by the Human Rights Tribunal.

Centre d’accès à l’information juridique (CAIJ)

  • Offers free access to decisions rendered by Canadian tribunals, with their related judicial history.
  • The website includes decisions rendered by the Human Rights Tribunal.
  • The website also provides access to doctrine on various legal topics as well as a legal dictionary.
