Motions seeking the reduction in the number of years of imprisonment
without eligibility for parole – paragraph 745.6 (1) of the Criminal Code
The Superior Court of Quebec reminds the members of the Bar that, pursuant to article 1 of the Quebec Rules of Practice Respecting Reduction in the Number of Years of Imprisonment without Eligibility for Parole, all motions must be filed with the Clerk of the Superior Court of Quebec, Criminal Division, in the Courthouse, in the Judicial District of Montreal notwithstanding where the Petitioners' trial was held or where he or she is presently detained.
